You might think of a massage only as a luxury in exotic spas and upscale health clubs. But did you know that this therapy, when combined with traditional medical treatments, is used to reduce stress and pain and endorse healing in people with certain health conditions.

Wake up, go to work, meetings, deadlines, maybe even a confrontation with the boss, co-workers or even clients, then you have the drive home to families and personal commitments and that is just one day. Most of us go through that kind of lifestyle everyday. Now looking at how that lifestyle affects of life, one has developed a severe form of stress that is joined along with tight muscles and a piercing headache. A massage is starting to sound good right about now.

Recent studies have found that stress can negatively affect one’s body from trouble sleeping to a weak immune system. A massage can therefore help reduce stress and bring back a healthy body by allowing it to begin healing itself. When getting a massage it manipulates your body’s soft tissues, your muscles, skin and tendons. It helps reduces muscle tension and stiffness in numerous ways, including increasing blood flow to your muscles, and most people use it for relaxation, relief of stress and anxiety, or to reduce muscle soreness. It’s been proven through research that regular massage may also boost immunity by stimulating the production of white blood cells. It helps you relax and improve your mental energy.

It has been found to be helpful with a lot of things such as, anxiety, pain, labor pain, infant growth, alcohol withdrawal, immune system, cancer treatment, self-esteem, and more. Massage reduces anxiety in depressed children and anorexic women. It also reduces anxiety and withdrawal symptoms in adults trying to quit smoking. Pain is decreased in people with fibromyalgia, migraines and recent surgery. Back pain also can be relieved by massage. During labor it appears to lessen stress and anxiety, relax muscles and reduce pain. While infant growth, massage encouraged weight gain in premature babies and reduced the number of days they stay in the hospital.

When dealing with alcohol withdrawal it’s been shown benefits when combined with traditional medical treatment by increasing feelings of support, safety and engagement in the therapy. People with HIV who participated in such therapy studies showed an increased number of natural killed cells, which are thought to defend the body from viral and cancer cells. People with cancer who received regularly scheduled massage therapy during treatment reported less anxiety, pain and fatigue. Because it involves direct contact with another person through touch, it can make you feel cared for. That special attention can improve self-image in people with physical disabilities and terminal illnesses. And using touch to express caring can help children with severe physical disabilities.

A combination with soothing, skin-conditioning benefits with aloe vera, essential oils, white tea and fruit extracts, helps you relax, and is perfect to end your stressful day, is trying Forever’s Relaxation Massage Lotion. With this all you need to do is apply to your skin and massage your cares away!
