What Are the 5 Best Ways to Ward Off a Panic Attack?

A lot of people already know what to do whenever they get a panic attack. However, what can you do to ward off panic attacks? Well first of all, you have to be able to notice when you feel a panic attack coming on. As you start to understand your panic attacks more, you will see that there are certain signs that you get just before you have a full blown panic attack. To help you with this, I will talk about what the 5 best ways to ward off a panic attack are. These could just save you from having a panic attack at a bad time. In some cases, it may even save your life.

Number One:

The number one way that we are going to cover when it comes to warding off a panic attack is when you are driving a car. If you are driving a car, a panic attack is not something that you want to have. The good news is that there are ways that you can avoid having one. The best way is to pull off the road, and switch the type of music you are listening to. Make sure it is some classical music; you know, something soft. This is really going to help calm your nerves, and this a great way to ward off a panic attack.

Number Two:

The next best way to ward off a panic attack is to actually get away from crowds of people. As you start to get crowded by people, you are going to notice that you start to sweat, and it gets hard for you to breathe. This is where you need to calmly walk away, and find a place that you can be alone in. One of the best places you can choose if you are out in public is a restroom. On that same note, however, if you cannot find a place, then just go for a nice walk. Try and clear your head a bit.

Number Three:

If you are around a TV, then you are in luck. Although TV is not the best past time, it is a great way to ward off panic attacks. Some people know already that TV is a great way to stop panic attacks and they can also help you from actually getting one in the first place. Just make sure that the show you are watching is happy and upbeat. This can really help you with keeping your anxiety attacks at bay.

Number Four:

Eating some calming food is good. This is something that a lot of people claim to be comfort food. Although this is not something that you will want to do all of the time, because of health problems, eating comfort food is a great way to ward off panic attacks. Most people do not know how much taste is linked to our mood and mind.

Number Five:

Last, but not least, try drinking a little bit of water. This is going to help cool you down and give you a chance to be alone for a second, because you will have to walk away to go get some water. This is also a pretty healthy way to stay in good health, because water is good for you.
